Adventure Slime

During the minor Game Design & Development I worked on the game Adventure Slime as a game developer. In 6 weeks with a team of 6 we tought of how to make the game fun. You as the slime try to escape the lab where you were created. By dodging and morphing behind objects when the lab employees look you get closer and closer to the exit.

With my co-developer we programmed in Unity/C#. I primarily focussed on the gesture system. How it currently works is swiping up, down or tapping. Unfortunately my new system in which you have to draw the shape of the object you want to hide behind couldn’t get done before the deadline of the project. Other things I worked on was making sure that the code was cut in small pieces and them not having the incorrect responsibilities. For example: the slime and the gesture scripts are seperated. The slime shouldn’t have to know which gestures are performed, the gesture script does that. The slime script only knows its position and shape (corresponding the performed gesture.

It was a difficult but amazing pressure cooker to create a whole game in 6 weeks. The game is free to play on the Google Playstore.
