My current best work is this one, it shows Baron 1898. The composition is something I’m really proud of, there obviously is a fore and background. Something I found out by talking to other artists is that the outlines weren’t done within Blender, but are added afterwards by hand, using a layer with white lines, erasing the ones that aren’t facing lights and using the multipy blend method to add the layer to the picture.
What I did different with this work compared to previous works was to look into existing art in this style. By looking how certain elements looked and how they were placed on the screen I figured out that there always is a distinct foreground or main subject having something to do or interacting with something in the background. Lighting and colors also made a huge difference.
